Maybe it's just me... but I'm finding the information in the Android SDK docs (particularly the Development Guide stuff) much more useful than the "learn-by-code-example" O'Reilly "Android Application Development" book.

If I know the architecture and rationale behind something, it's far more likely the stick in my brain, than if I just come across it in a forest of other stuff when working through code samples.

O'Reilly are often good at that kind of thing - but not so much in this book.
