Another great new voice on Radio 4.

I like his welsh accent (I'm half welsh :-) ) and relaxed humorous manner.

He puts his interviewees at ease with his approach, and teases out the serious issues.

This guy has a great personality and voice for radio. I always look forward to his programmes.

My learning style

Maybe it's just me... but I'm finding the information in the Android SDK docs (particularly the Development Guide stuff) much more useful than the "learn-by-code-example" O'Reilly "Android Application Development" book.

If I know the architecture and rationale behind something, it's far more likely the stick in my brain, than if I just come across it in a forest of other stuff when working through code samples.

O'Reilly are often good at that kind of thing - but not so much in this book.

Android Programming

So far - so fun.

The platform seems to "make sense" - making use of all kinds of existing technologies and patterns.

It seems to combine lots of wisdom from other mobile and general programming frameworks.

It makes much more sense to me than the iPhone system.

Lots of interesting things on this site - not least reading the way "real" people used to speak in the past.
